Yelling at God, the story of Habakkuk

Worship for Sunday, October 5, 2025

We reflected on the prophet Habakkuk, and three lessons from this book-

  1. The Bible is not a fixed text. We don’t have the original copy, and texts like Habakkuk resist translation.
  2. Habakkuk normalizes getting angry at God. We should free ourselves to be frustrated with God and with the world.
  3. Wait for the Lord is not comforting advice. But ‘live righteously together’ can be.
